So.....I really really want to go to this. I just have to make sure I have a car for that weekend. Then I am definitely going...
IS ANYONE ELSE SUPER EXCITED! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!....cough cough....sorry if I frightened anyone.
Anyway, my name is Elena and I have been a fan for well over a decade now. The only conventions I've ever been to were Prophecy in Toronto (Harry Potter Con) and Infinitus in Orlando (also a Harry Potter Con). BUT! I am so excited to go to a Whedon con! Though I do not play the game, I am so looking forward to Kitten Poker. And the masquerade should be entertaining. I think there is great chance for success for this convention and I can't wait to meet you all!
Please introduce yourselves in this thread, and tell me something you're looking forward to!
~Elena

hi there, my name is Jason. i'm really looking forward to meeting Amy Acker, Fred was one of my favourite characters!! i'm also liking the rest of the lineup as well, it's nice to see that Toronto is getting a Joss convention. The Kitten Poker is an awesome idea, i'll just have to brush up on my card playing skills. Nick Brendon should also be a very entertaining guy to see, I heard he's really funny on stage! I can't wait!!!

Hey all! Mike here! Can you believe I panned both Buffy & Angel in their first runs?!? Too much of a bad taste in my mouth from that horrible thing Hollywood did to the original BTVS movie. Now a diehard Wheddon fan for the last 10 years, this will be my first exclusive Wheddon con. I've got a fresh litter of kittens for Kitten Poker!! Went to my first Toronto Trek back in highschool -- a "few" years ago (ahem!), and have been hooked ever since -- though I've not been able to attend a lot of cons. Really pumped to see Amy and Nick. I've heard great things about both of them in con settings. Really stoked for Sweets Red Carpet and The Bronze! Hope to catch you all there! Mike

I just found out about Whedon Fest and I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED ( i think). I'm Dinh by the way. As you can tell I can't wait for Whedon Fest. I started watching Buffy when it first aired and then stopped around season 2. I re-watched the first 2 seasons and got hooked on the series and all thing Whedon when I was much older. It is a good thing though, I ended up understanding and appreciating Buffy the vampire Slayer and other Whedon Works so much more. I even wrote essays about buffy for my university assignments.
Excited as I am, unfortunately, all of my "Whedon loving" friends find the tickets really expensive and they don't care enough for Whedon literature to come with me. So I'm being going alone. Despite that, i am supper stoked. Anyone in the same situation?
